2,000+ units sold Under 30 returns 1-year warranty 30-day money-back
The short answer

An LLA Physical SIM unit is a brand-new-grade US iPhone with a precision-engineered SIM slot added - original screen, original camera, original casing, 0 cycle count on 17 Pro & Pro Max - at a fraction of the non-active price. We back every one with a 1-year warranty that covers the engineered slot itself - and a true 30-day money-back guarantee.

What you're actually buying

What is an LLA Physical SIM unit?

US-market iPhones (model code LL/A) ship without a SIM tray - Apple made them eSIM-only from the 14 series onward. In Nigeria, that single limitation makes them trade far below international versions of the exact same hardware.

Our 16 & 17 series units close that gap: a physical SIM slot is precision-engineered into the original casing. The screen is untouched. The camera is untouched. The board is untouched. The slot takes single or dual SIM and runs on any Nigerian network - MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile, in any combination.

You are paying less for the same hardware, not lesser hardware.

The famous dissonance

Why Settings says “SIM Lock” on a phone that isn't locked

This is the line that confuses everyone, so read it twice: the readout and the slot are two different things.

These are US-market units that originally shipped locked to American carriers - AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon. That is the lock you're seeing in Settings: it stayed behind with the software. The engineered slot doesn't answer to it. Insert MTN, it connects. Insert Glo beside it, it connects too - which is what 2,000+ units in customers' hands are doing right now.

Where the bad name came from

“I heard physical SIM conversions use fake parts”

True - that was the 14 & 15 era. Early conversions required swapping the entire housing for an aftermarket one, and screens often got changed along the way. People got burned, and the reputation stuck. If you heard bad things, you heard about those units. We won't pretend otherwise.

The 16 & 17 build is a different method entirely. The slot is engineered into the original casing. The original screen stays. The original camera stays. Nothing aftermarket goes in. That is why we can put a full year of warranty behind these units - and why we couldn't say the same for the old generation.

14 & 15 era

Aftermarket housing. Screens often swapped. Bought cheap, sold on reputation risk.

16 & 17 build

Original casing, screen, camera. Engineered slot only. Backed for a full year.

Decode the market

LLA vs ZP/A vs ZA/A - what iPhone model codes mean

Every iPhone carries a region code: Settings → General → About → Model Number - the letters before the slash. Computer Village trades on these codes, so learn the four that matter:

LL/A - United States

eSIM-only since the 14 series, usually carrier-locked. The cheapest iPhones in the world market - and the raw material for our engineered units.

ZP/A - Hong Kong

Prized in this market for dual physical SIM - and priced for it.

ZA/A - Singapore / Malaysia

Standard international spec. Trades at full international money.

B/A - United Kingdom

The source of “UK used” stock - new ones trade high, used ones carry the risks in the table above.

Here is the whole business in one sentence: our engineered LL/A build delivers dual physical SIM - the feature this market pays ZP/A premiums for - at LL/A money.

Where we put our money

Three products. Three warranties. One guarantee.

Warranty is the one line where a seller can't fake confidence. Here is exactly where we stand on every product we sell:

UK Used
90 Days

LLA Physical SIM
1 Full Year

Backed by Jabulani Express. Claimed in Ikeja - not at a service centre abroad.

And yes - the 1-year warranty covers the engineered SIM slot itself. If the slot ever develops a fault, bring the phone in. We fix it or we replace it. That is how sure we are of this build.

And a 30-day money-back guarantee on top. Buy it, live with it, and if it isn't everything this page says, bring it back within 30 days under the written terms you receive at purchase. Approved refunds are processed within 48 hours.

Verify everything

Buy the phone you can verify - not the story you are told.

That rule applies to us too. Here is what a properly engineered unit should do - and how to prove it on the exact phone in your hand before any money moves.

Nigerian networks

Expected: MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile - single or dual.

Verify: insert your own SIM; confirm signal, a call, an SMS and data.

iOS updates

Expected: normal updates, as on 2,000+ units in the field.

Verify: check the installed iOS version on the unit yourself.

Apple ID & App Store

Expected: standard Apple services.

Verify: Activation Lock removed, previous Apple ID signed out - sign in with yours only after purchase.

Face ID

Expected: works normally.

Verify: set it up fresh yourself and unlock several times.

Cameras & flash

Expected: original and untouched.

Verify: every lens, zoom, portrait, video, flash and selfie.

Battery

Expected: 0 cycles on 17 Pro & Pro Max; near-new elsewhere.

Verify: the battery screen itself - never a verbal claim, ours included.

The 12 checks before you pay

This checklist matters more than any sales pitch - including ours. A seller comfortable with all twelve is telling you something. So is a seller who isn't.

  1. Match the paperwork. Model, storage and IMEI in Settings → General → About against the receipt.
  2. Insert your own SIM - the network you actually use - and watch it register.
  3. Place a real call. Earpiece, microphone, loudspeaker, proximity sensor.
  4. Test mobile data with Wi-Fi off: several sites and a short video.
  5. Set up Face ID yourself. Never accept a verbal “it works.”
  6. Test every camera. Lenses, zoom, portrait, video, flash, selfie.
  7. Read the battery screen. Capacity, cycle count, no unusual heat.
  8. Inspect the display. Brightness, touch, dead pixels, tint, edges.
  9. Open Parts & Service History in Settings → General → About.
  10. Confirm Activation Lock is off and the old Apple ID is signed out.
  11. Work the engineered slot. Eject, reseat, run dual SIM if that's your plan.
  12. Leave with paper. The written warranty naming the slot, and the 30-day guarantee terms.
Straight answers

Questions people actually ask

Will an iOS update stop the SIM from working?

Our units have updated through every iOS release since we started selling them without losing network - across 2,000+ phones in customers' hands. Update normally. And if anything ever changes on your unit, that is exactly what the 1-year warranty exists for.

Can I run two Nigerian networks at once?

Yes. The engineered slot takes single or dual physical SIM - MTN + Airtel, Glo + 9mobile, any combination you like.

Does the conversion void Apple's warranty?

Yes - and we won't pretend otherwise. Apple's warranty doesn't cover a unit once the slot has been engineered in. That is exactly why we replace it with our own 1-year warranty, claimable at our shop in Computer Village, covering the slot itself.

Is it still water resistant?

Treat it as reduced. Engineering the slot means the unit has been opened, so we don't promise Apple's factory water seal. Rain-splash is one thing - don't swim with it. We'd rather tell you this now than argue about it later.

Why is it so much cheaper than non-active?

Two discounts stack on these units in the world market: they're eSIM-only, and they shipped locked to US carriers. Almost nobody globally can use them as-is, so they trade far below international versions of identical hardware. Our engineering removes both limitations at once. The discount comes from the market, not from the hardware.

What's the battery situation?

17 Pro & Pro Max units show a 0 cycle count. Other models are near-new. Either way, we show you the battery screen before you pay - you never take our word for it.

Can I verify everything before paying?

Please do. Walk into our shop, check the cycle count, inspect the screen and camera, and insert your own SIM on the spot. The phone should sell itself or it shouldn't sell.

How do I check any iPhone's model code?

Settings → General → About → Model Number. The letters before the slash tell you the region: LL/A is a US unit, ZP/A is Hong Kong, ZA/A is Singapore or Malaysia, B/A is the UK. Check it on any phone anyone tries to sell you - ours included.

Is this the same as “factory unlocked”?

No, and we won't blur that line. A factory-unlocked unit reads clean in Settings. Ours are US carrier-locked units whose engineered slot runs Nigerian networks regardless of the readout - and the 1-year warranty stands behind exactly that.

LLA physical SIM or a ZP/A Hong Kong unit - which should I buy?

ZP/A trades at full international money, largely for its dual-SIM reputation. Our engineered LL/A build gives you dual physical SIM at far less for the same hardware grade. If budget is no object, buy either. If value matters, the math answers for you.

Which iPhone 16 & 17 models do you stock as physical SIM units?

Across the 16 and 17 series, including 17 Pro and Pro Max. Stock moves daily and naira prices move with it, so we keep prices off this page deliberately - message us on WhatsApp for today's list.

What should I check before paying - from us or anyone?

Twelve - the full checklist is just above on this page. The five-second version: cycle count, panel, cameras, your own SIM connecting live, and a written warranty naming the slot. Any seller who resists that list is telling you something.

Is an LLA iPhone original?

Yes - a genuine Apple iPhone built for the US market. LL/A is Apple's own region code, not a clone marker. What we add is the engineered slot; what we never touch is the screen, the cameras, or the board.

Will Face ID, WhatsApp, Apple Pay and banking apps work?

Face ID, WhatsApp and your banking apps work as on any iPhone - set up Face ID yourself at purchase and see. Apple Pay depends on your bank's card support in Nigeria, not on this unit.

Can I use a physical SIM and an eSIM together?

The engineered slot takes one or two physical SIMs. Whether eSIM remains active alongside can vary by unit - ask us to demonstrate it on the exact phone before you pay. Never buy on assumption; buy on demonstration.

Can I reset or restore the phone?

Yes - treat it like any iPhone. If you want certainty, do your first full reset before leaving the shop and watch it come back clean with the network running. And the 1-year warranty and 30-day guarantee stand behind it either way.

Can I resell it or trade it in later?

It resells as what it is - an engineered physical SIM unit, into the same demand this page describes. Ask on WhatsApp about trade-in options when the time comes.

Do you deliver outside Lagos?

Yes - delivery can be arranged nationwide on WhatsApp. Every promise on this page travels with the phone, including the 30-day money-back guarantee. Walk-in verification in Ikeja stays the gold standard if you can make it.

What does the 30-day money-back guarantee actually mean?

Exactly what it says. Buy the phone, live with it for up to 30 days, and if it isn't what this page promised, return it under the written terms you receive at purchase and get your money back. Approved refunds are processed within 48 hours.

What exactly does the 1-year warranty cover?

Hardware faults in normal use - including the engineered slot itself. It doesn't cover liquid damage, drops, unauthorised opening or third-party repairs, or software tampering. The full written terms come with your receipt.
